I'd say middle class and rich in some kind of way.
We have high prices in electricity, phone bills and whatsover.
To actually live here you need to have a nice pocket because the price of life is really expensive here.
We have free healthcare and private healthcare.
apart from that we also have free education and paid education.
The prices for food are anormal as we export meat to other countries and as we are only a 3 million and half poblation what it comes to be internet services and other stuff are expensive.
We have the highest electricity prices in America believe it or not and what it comes to be services it's expensive too, not mentioning only expensive but it's a quality of service which is not really good.
Why is this happening?
Well Uruguay has a monopoly which means no other trademarks can come apart from the ones we already have, when I mean trademarks I'm meaning Walmart or Comcast.
One of our internet providers is antel (Administracion Nacional de Telecomunicaciones) which I have to agree it's a really bad service for it's price.
A lot of money always goes in taxes per month "To help the poor people" the people who usually arrives at our houses and breaks all the windows with rocks.
but here I'll let you a list of what an average Uruguayan wastes per month.
Electricity: 200-300
Internet bill (2mbps download / 128kb upload) (Shame of service) - 50 USD
