No no no. BIG difference!Orcas are also known as Killer Whales or you might know them as Shamoo for those Sea World goers. Orca's are a type of tooth whale and are known for there black and white coloring. They travel in pods and attack other whales, usually separating the mother from its calf and eating the baby. Whale sharks are HUGE sharks bigger than Orcas but smaller (By a LOT) than Blue Whales, which Fun fact , There heart is the size of a Volkswagen Bug!
Yes they are the same, but people who really like them prefer orcas they can't or won't understand that they are killers. I saw a video a while back about an orca that attacked a man that was not doing anything to the whale, the man was just sitting on a dock.
They are the same thing.
Killer whales, orcas, are toothed whales, but they're not the only ones.
No they are the same thing just different names
Bottlenose Dolphins and killer whales/orcas are two different species. They're both mammals though.
Orcas are the same thing as killer Wales. killer wale is just another name for an orca. Orca is the killer wales scientific name.
No, But they are from the same family of animal.
No. The orca, or killer whale as it is sometimes called, is the largest oceanic dolphin. It's an aquatic mammal. Use the link below for more information.
no the killer whale is in the family of the dolphins! but that doesn't stop orcas well killer whales eating dolphins so they don't get along at all there both of them ain't the same size
not at all but there are two diffrent species of orca/killer whale what ever u wanna call em. anyways one eats fish and the other eats seals, other whales and other marine mamalstrue but an orca has a very much difference between a killer whale. A killer whale belongs to the oceanic dolphin. A orca is common like a blackfish.there is no difference between Killer Whales and Orcas...they are the same animal...just they have different names... Orca (i believe) if their scientific name... they got their other name..Killer Whale...because they are known to be wild and mean in the wild... (NOTE: THEY ARE NOT MEAN they just want to eat...so don't toch their seals!!!)Theres no difference, it's just that the orca name was given to the killer whales because people might think orcas are "killers". ORCA is the scientific term for Killer Whales.there is no difference they are the same the real name is an orca but scientist say that they call them killer whales because they kill other whales
Trick question: the barracuda is obviously not a whale. What is not so obvious is that orcas, although called killer whales, are also not true whales. Orcas are members of the same family of mammals as porpoises and dolphins.
One interesting thing I have found is that there is a whale that has the exact same killer whale fin. It can easily be mistakin for a killer whale when really it is just the false killer whale. The false killer whale is exactly a dolphin!Status: Endangered in Oregon, Washington, and California. Killer Whales are also called orcas but you probably already knew that. Killer Whales love playing! sorry i cant remember any more!
Yes
