No, Firefighters actually fight fires, and Police Officers fight crime.
However! -In some municipalities (towns) in America, these professions are performed by people that are cross-trained. In fact, one town that I know of has their city employees trained as Police, Fire, AND Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs are ambulance-riding first-responders) that work three 24-hour shifts per week. So for the first eight hours of their shift, they are Police Officers. The second eight hours they are Firefighters, and the third eight hours of their shift, they are EMTs. Then they get 24 hours off.
Firefighters and police officers are essential to the welfare of the community.
If referring to the World Trade Center in NYC - a total of 60. 23 Port Authority police officers and 37 NY Police Dept. officers.
That is simply not true, 23 officers of the NYPD and 37 Port Authority officers fell in the line of duty. In contrast 343 firefighters died that day.
People say that more than 10,000 firefighters and officers died that day :(
Soldiers do bravery, firefighters, police officers, but the littlest form of bravery is things like friend fights and problems.
A total of 343 firefighters and paramedics died. In addition, 37 Port Authority Police and 23 New York Police Department officers died.
All police officers are "public safety officers," as public safety generally includes law enforcement, the fire service, and emergency medical services. Some cities and counties have "public safety departments," where officers are cross-trained both as law enforcement officers and as firefighters. Officers perform police duties when not actually engaged in fire service duties.
I know that there was 162 Law Enforcement officers killed in 2010 on American soil. This includes territories such as American Samoia, Puerto Rico, etc..Not sure on firefighters.
Aside from containing the public interfering, I'm sure there's plenty of firefighters who have been ticked by police. Police probably make firefighters angry.
Your country's safety is in peril! Police officers and firefighters are trained to deal with emergencies, natural disasters and other types of peril.
How does fighters working as a group affect each other? And how does police officers working as a group affect each other
I need the answer to this question too >.<
