They are used on the old square nuts and bolts. Some automotive drain plugs have square heads. Also, certain sizes are useful in theatrical lighting instruments and on chassis punches. Anywhere you encounter a bolt with a square head, an 8-point socket will be useful. They are also know as "double square" sockets.
"Main sockets" is referring to fuse sockets, particularly the main fuse sockets for a fuse panel.
Remove all screws and use a flathead screwdriver to pop it out of the plastic sockets. Be careful, they break easily.
Wrenches and sockets all come in multiple sizes. Which you have depends on the kind of work you do. Most craftsmen have a full set of metric wrenches and sockets and a full set of SAE wrenches and sockets. Most get by with 3/8 drive sockets, but many have 1/2 sockets as well.
You can use a large C Clamp and acouple of deep well sockets to pop the old one out, and pop the new one back in place... it shouldn't be to hard to do and it will save you a ton of money. Inorder to get to your Ball Joint all you have to do is remove the center bolt for your C/V Joint... then remove the 13mm bolts that's holding the sway bar in place, using a 18mm open end wrench and a 15mm socket to take the ball joint off the steering knuckle, then just pop it out using the large C clamp and 2 deep sockets, pop the new one in and your set, just put it back together and have fun :).

I have an lg pop, great phones! Anyway, they are roughly 3" by 1.5". Can't say exactly, because I've lost it! Hope you've found this useful.
AnswerLamp sockets are located inside trunk. There will be a little door/cover along the outerwall of trunk lining on either side. Pop the little door/cover off & you will see 3 sockets inside. Twist the socket to unlock it, change bulb, then replace socket and twist it to lock it into position.
A smart pop socket differs from a traditional pop socket primarily in its additional features and functionalities. Here are some key differences: **1. Connectivity**: Most smart devices have built-in connectivity such as Bluetooth or Wi-Fi that allows them to connect wirelessly to smartphones or other smart devices. Popular devices do not have functional connections and are mostly used as foldable grips and stands for smartphones. **2. Additional Features**: Smart devices often include additional features beyond simple grip and stand functions. These may include LED lights, built-in speakers, wireless charging features, and even integrated sensors for monitoring purposes. Traditional pop sockets focus solely on a handy grip to hold your phone and a handy stand to support your phone for hands-free use. **3. Control and Interaction**: Popular smart plugs may come with mobile apps that allow users to customize settings, control connected devices, or access additional features. Since traditional pop sockets work without any smart features, they do not need additional applications or controls. **4. Integration with smart devices**: Smart devices can be designed to integrate with other smart devices or platforms to improve functionality or interoperability. Loud equipment cannot be combined with other equipment and is an independent equipment for smartphones. **5. Power**: Smart popular sockets will need power to support the LEDs, such as a built-in battery or USB charging. Additional features such as light or wireless charging. Traditional pop sockets do not require electrical power because they work without electricity. Overall, while traditional pop sockets serve a basic purpose of providing grip and stand functionality for smartphones, smart pop sockets offer advanced features and connectivity options, making them more versatile and functional accessories.
They shouldn't, so no.
