Probably not. It is not a good idea to give cooked bones to dogs as the bones break into small sharp pieces as the dogs chew them which, when swallowed, can cause serious digestive problems. That being said, my large dogs, German Shepherd and Rottweiler, have stolen the occasional cooked rib bone and not had problems. So, small dog - toy poodle, Chihuahua, Maltese, pug, Jack Russell, terrier, bassett hound, beagle - no. Large dog - German Shepherd, Rottweiler, large Labrador, golden retreiver - occasionally one.
chicken bones ain't good but mmm why don't you give the dog a bone?
Pit-bulls has no trouble eating ribs. Chicken bones could be harmful since they break like wood making sharp points, which means this could cause them to choke.
Yes. For the same reasons that humans do; to protect the heart and lungs.
Rib bones are pretty brittle. One bone or a piece of one could easily lodge in a dog's throat, causing the dog to choke..
