Yes, but it is not how it appears in Call of Duty. Semtex is more like C-4 and other plastic explosives, and does not necessarily stick as well as the one in the game.
Grenades are very real, and if you join the Army you will have to qualify with the grenade by properly engaging at least four of six targets, throwing two live fragmentation grenades, plus correctly identifying five different kinds of grenades if you want to graduate from basic training.
