Unfortunately, most processed foods are loaded with not-so-good fats like saturated fatty acids or trans-fats. ... Processed foods including instant noodles contain high amounts of sodium, food additives, petroleum by-products (in some cases), bad cholesterol, simple carbs with no nutrition and no fiber whatsoever.
Can avoiding processed foods help you to lose weight?
Yes, as most processed foods contain saturated fats in the form of mono and poly saturated fat and refined carbohydrates. Most processed foods can be easily avoided by swapping them for an organic, healthier alternative. For example, replace a packet of chips or crisps with an apple or banana. Replace foods like pizza and deep fried items for a sandwich with a lettuce filling. Water instead of sugary drinks is an excellent alternative. However, not all processed foods are bad, and its important to develop a good structure when it comes to essentials and indulgences.
