Based on my experience,you shouldn't do them every day,do them 5-6 times a week if you are in a pretty good shape,if you are just starting out,do them 3-4 times a week maximum,you will get stronger and your body will look better and much fitter...anyway,i do them 3-4 times a week now,im gonna start doing them 5-6 times a week,right now i can do 25 strict chin ups in a row and 20 pull ups,i can do one hand two arms pull ups too(hanging by one arm,holding my wrist with another)...,i can also dead hang on one arm with both my arms,my final goal is to be able to do 2+ one arm pull ups with my right arm,maybe left later too...anyway do them,its an amazing and yet such a simple exercise that will make you much stronger,combine them with some push ups too,i do push ups,pull ups,squats,and sit ups/crunches...it made me stronger,I'm a beast now,so much stamina and strength...

That completely depends on if you want to. I would recommend it because it helps you build muscle and stay in shape. If you don't want to, there are other alternatives like taking a jog or lifting weights. If you don't do them, it won't kill you.

It depends on what else you do. If you are also doing multiple exercises for the muscles being used, then probably not. Like if you do three sets of pull ups which uses your back muscles, biceps and forearms, then do three sets of bicep curls, followed by two sets for the upper forearms and two sets for the lower forearm muscles. Then you should probably not do them everyday. If you are sticking to just pull ups, then you should start out with maybe doing 3 sets 3 to 4 days a week and once that feels comfortable add another day until you feel comfortable doing them everyday.

When I was in Basic Training for the Marine Corps we had a pull up/chin up bar at the front of the squad bay and I did 3 sets of 20, along with 3 sets of 30 push ups, and 3 sets of 50 ab crunches everyday leading up to the Final PFT (Physical Fitness Test). I only took off the night before the test. I did not feel pain or had injury from doing this. I scored a perfect 300 on the test and because of the grading scale every 10 seconds under 18 minutes in the 3 miles is worth 1 point, every ab crunch over 100 in the 2 minutes is worth 1 point and every pull up over 20 is worth 5 points. I did the run in 17:50, 132 ab crunches, and 32 pull ups. The closest recruit to me had only 24 pull ups giving me a 40 point lead after the pull ups. With that lead I was able to accomplish being the Company's Most Physically Fit Marine. Going into Boot Camp I was up to 24 pull ups and in the about 6 weeks I was able to move up to 32 by the final PFT. I did do 33 the week before, but that PFT did not count.

So, it all depends on how and what you do along with the pull ups as to whether you will sustain injury. Good luck.

You can do chin ups every day, but you shouldn't. It is better to do chin ups every other day, so that you can rest your arms.
