No. Civil unions are not legally performed or recognized in Florida.

Constitutional Amendment

The Florida Marriage Amendment (Amendment 2 (2008)) passed in the general elections of November 4, 2008 with 62.1% of the vote, defining marriage as the legal union of only one man and one woman, and not recognizing any other legal union as being valid or recognized. (Article I, Section 27)

Statute

The Florida Defense of Marriage Act was passed in 1997 and concerns the following:

Section 741.04 of the Florida Statutes Annotated forbids the issuance of marriage licenses to parties that are not one male and one female.

Section 741.212 states that same-sex unions are not recognized in Florida, and that marriage applies to only one man and one woman.
