The shrimp is an invertebrate because it has no backbone. It also has an exoskeleton. (shrimps are very nice to eat btw)
To the best of my knowledge there is no part of a shrimp or prawn that is inedible including the shell. It may well be not nice to eat though.
Eggs are the main ingredient.

Those nice folks over at Heinz Foods are pretty proud of their 57 varieties! The varieties of types of plant life in the Amazon seem to be endless. I just learned to prepare another one of the many varieties of omelettes!
