Yes. Under chapter 46 section 1 subparagraph 1 it states that it is illegal to carry any type of baton, night stick, or a mace (not pepper spray) or tomahawk in the state of Texas. doing so in the state of Texas is a class A misdemeanor, unless you are carryin said weapon on the phiscal premises of a school or educational institution, or any where a school sponsored event (such as a football, Basketball, school play ect.) on a school transportation vehicle unless you have written authorization from the school , any area where voteing is taking place, on the premises of any government court or offices used by the court unless you have writtin authorization, on the premises of a race track, in an airport, with in 1000 feet of the Texas death row facilty on the day the scheduled excuation is to take place is considered a felony in the 3 degree. Both mean JAIL TIME. so don't do it.
