∙ 9y agoYes - you can use studded tires from November 1st to April 1st in the state of Iowa. You can also use chains on tires when required for safety because of snow, ice, or other conditions that cause a car to skid.

∙ 11y agoStudded tires can only be used from November 1 of the proceeding year to April 15 of the following year. You can operate tires with retractible studs the entire year as long as they are not extended except during the months listed above.
