Some are, but not all.

For example, Yaakov Teitel was a Jewish terrorist, and the Jewish Defense League is a Jewish terrorist organization. Similarly, the Ku Klux Klan, the "Army of God", and the Sons of Freedom are examples of Christian terrorist organizations. The Aum Shinrikyo is a Japanese religious terrorist group. So on and so forth.

In conclusion, not all terrorists are Muslim, and certainly not all Muslims are terrorists.

We have divided ourselves on the basis of caste, color, creed, geographical bounds etc. Terrorists are the product of re-action of crulty, suppression, maltreatment, insult, and disgrace done to their nation, relatives or to them. They want revenge. Had there been the rule of Justice, there would have been no terrorists. When we suppress a nation, tribe or people, occupy their lands and destroy their houses and belongings, may be they have no alternative but to avenge themselves on the oppressors and sometimes on even innocent people. History shows Freedom Fighters termed as 'Terrorist' by the oppressors/invaders but heroes by their own nation. The Americans who fought against the British to win their freedom were called terroriss. The Irish people fighting against UK are still called terrorists. The Negroes were once called terrorists by the whie people who occupied their lands and kept them in slavery for many decades. So, it is mostly from which angle you see things and by which yardstick you measure others. No religious group can claim to be 'clean' and 'just' in this regard.

If they made massacres in Bosnia, then they are terrorists. If they killed women, old men and children, and terrified civilians in Spain when they got control of the country, then they are terrorists. If they waged the first and second world wars and that against Iraq, Afghanistan, the Palestinians, the Chechen, etc. then they are terrorists.

It is a media game and political agendas that propagating false images about Islam and Muslims, first to limit spread of Islam religion and second to get control over Islamic countries.

If few Muslims were claimed terrorists it doesn't mean that all Muslims are terrorists.

Some people who claim to be Muslim are terrorists, but most are not.

No, Muslims are nice peeps and they are cool, some have violent thoughts that are very dangerous but Muslims are trying to get peace not war! Muslims are good and smart peeps. i have lots of Muslim friends even though im a christian. lov other peeps like ur self that's the good stuff! :)

In 911 MUSLIMS were being called terrorists....when some spanish guy kills someone people say MUSLIMS were behind this....when MUSLIMS are wearing their beautiful hijabs they are insulted EVERYWHERE they go and they are called terrorists.....

Why is all this rubbish necccassary....i mean did we harm you guys who on tv are calling us terrorists? What does terrorism mean ? - To cause terror or harm on people. Was Hitler not a terrorist when he inflicted so much pain on innocent Jews? Was President GEORGE BUSH not a terrorist when he invaded a country (Iraq) claiming that Iraq was going to launch war on them (when it really wasn't)? George bush broke international law which clearly states you cannot launch war onto Another Country without eveidence that either they will launch war on you (then you may launch prelimernary attack) . GEORGE BUSH LIED TO THE WORLD. He had a greed for oil and by the grace of God middle eastern countries seem to have a lot of it and since Iraq refused to sign a contract deal with Mr Bush he launched war; claiming it was because Iraq had nuclear weapons!! In my opinion George bush is also a terrorist.

A Muslim is supposed to lead his or her life according to the Holy book (the Qur'an) and the Sunnah (things the prophet did). History will tell us the prophet was a holy, genourous, kind, honest, peacful man. Islam in fact means - submit to almighty Allah (Arabic word for God) and it also means PEACE. So someone commiting an act of terrorism in the name of Islam; how can that be a Muslim ? rather it is a disgrace to the Muslim ummah (Muslim community).

People say Islam promotes terrorism because of the word 'JIHAD' which they wrongly translate as 'holy war'. But Jihad is not the Arabic term for holy war. Jihad means to strive and struggle in the way of Allah. And to strive and struggle in the way of Allah, you should first correct yourself. i.e. learn Islam properly; become a good Muslim, help people and be kind to people regardless of their faith, culture etc.

If we judged a religion on a whole by what its believers did most religions would not be thought highly of. For example Christiianity forbids people to be Gay. Yet gay priests exist in our modern day world! Does that mean Christianity allows gays! NO IT DOESNT. Similarly because some foolish people who claim to be 'Muslim' are commiting acts of terror does not mean Islam promotes it and certainly does not mean that all Muslims are terrorists.

I agree with everything that has been said so far, and I would like (to start with) that I'm a Muslim, and I'm proud of it. Have any of you seen a movie called 'my name is Khan'? Well if you haven't and you think Muslims are terrorists then watch it, and maybe you'll see that we aren't.

Look, there are bad people everywhere, in Islam, in Christianity, in every religion. Just because a few stupid people from one particular religion does something bad, you don't blame the whole religion. By saying that Muslims are terrorists, your not insulting a few people, your insulting billions, and you people who do that are SICK.

I am a Muslim, and I'm going to tell you this, there are a select few people in EVERY religion that are terrorists, not just Islam. Many people make generalizations about races/religions that aren't true, but you have to realize that you cannot judge a whole group of people just because a few of them are bad people.

Islam religion is a religion of peace. Quran; Muslims holy book that they follow its instructions and teachings and rules; say (meaning English translation):

It is the biased media and the politicians who try to spread false ideas against Islam religion for mainly three reasons:

1. To justify their attacks against Muslim countries to get control on their Natural Resources and oil.
2. To resist the wave of the convert of non-Muslims to Islam
3. to provide a cover to what Israel is doing against the Palestinians in the occupied Palestine territories.

You may notice something very strange in the media when dealing with a terrorist action. If the terrorists are Muslims they are called by their religion. However, if the terrorists are Christians or Jews or any non-Muslim religion they are called by their nationality and not by their religion. What do conclude of that?

The actions against Muslims in Iraq, Bosnia, Burma, Israel, ... are not terrorist acts!

No. Most Muslims are peaceful. As far as the evidence goes, most Muslims are peaceful. Islamic terrorism is a very small percentage of the Muslim population, just as terrorists in general are a minimal part of the population. Terrorists make up less than 1% of Muslims (it is estimated that there are roughly 300,000 Jihadists in the world out of 1.6 billion Muslims). The reason that this <1% of Muslims are so infamous is that Jihadists are responsible for an inordinate share of casualties from terrorism. In the last ten years, over 85% of terrorist incidents and 85% terrorist-related fatalities were perpetrated by Muslims.

No. The two terms are distinct. There are some terrorists who are Muslims. Most Muslims are not terrorists and many terrorists are not Muslims.
