Safe
Yes! It well harm your cat because dog flea drops are much too strong for a cat! If you do then immediately wash it off with a wet whipe or a wet (paper) towel! You should just give it cat flea medicine. that is most safe.
You will know when your cat/kitten has fleas because it will leave behind black semi-circular poo's, you can't see the flea's themselves without a microscope but flea drops and powder should clear them up.
yes
No, a flea is a flea. There is no "cat flea" or "dog flea". Its just a flea and its just as likely to get a cat or dog.
I am guessing you are speaking of the area on a cat one should apply a flea treatment such as Frontlilne. Squeeze the drops on the base of the back of their neck. There is a little hollow there that works perfectly to hold the drops, and the cat can't reach it.
If the cat was spayed, it is no longer pregnant. I would assume a flea collar would be safe now that the cat is no longer pregnant. It might be a good idea to not put a flea collar on her until her wound is completely healed and the stitches removed, just to be on the safe side (flea collars contain very strong chemicals). If you are still unsure, you should consult your veterinarian.
This is not a good idea. Most flea medications specified for a cat are meant to be used only on a cat. The internal systems and skin absorption works very different in guinea pigs in comparison to cats. If your guinea pig has a flea problem, it is best to take the animal to a vet who is trained to work with cavies or rabbits if at all possible. If not, the best thing you can do is find rabbit (if guinea pig flea medications are not available) flea wipes or dips and use them in a diluted form. Often times pet stores will carry a rabbit flea medication that also gives cavy instructions on the back. If your cavy is kept indoors, make sure to also clean carpets, rugs, and bedding that your guinea pig may come in contact with to ensure the fleas don't keep spreading. It is also important to ensure other pets aren't spreading the fleas to one another, so if you also have a cat with fleas, use the drops on the cat but use an alternative method for the guinea pig. It is important to always consider the weak internal systems of the guinea pig and take care to not use anything that is not reccomended for cavies.
Wash your cat thoroughly with cat-safe shampoo and warm water. I would also suggest calling your vet and talking with him/her about the type of canine flea/tick medication you applied to your cat and what symptoms of poisoning you need to watch for.
An unborn flea- the embryo of a flea that has not yet hatched.
No, the cat will not die he has licked his flea collar. The flea collar is not toxic to cats only to fleas and ticks.
The relationship between a flea and cat's fur is that of parasite and host. The flea is a parasite that feeds on the blood of the host.
The cat would be referred to as a host.
