It does not matter what side of the engine you put them on. The drivers side head will have a temperature sending unit screwed into the head between the first 2 spark plugs. If you switch the heads then the temperature wire may not reach.

two, one on passenger side & one on driver side.
it screws into the side of one of the heads.
the new block has a two piece rear main seal and the oil dipstick is on the passenger side other than that yes reuse the crank and oil pan and everything else is interchangeable
The heads side is called the OBVERSE and the tails side is called the REVERSE. The difficulty is that not all coins have an obvious heads and tails side. For instance, most British Commonwealth coins depict the monarch on one side and a denomination/country-specific image on the other. By convention the side with the monarch's head is normally considered to be the heads side
the oil drain holes in the heads may be stopped up
Yes they do.
Which side they came from, where the push rods came from and if you remove the rockers remember which rocker went where
If the heads are put on right then it will be on the driver's side head between the 1st and 2ed spark plugs. It may be on the other head too between the back 2 spark plugs.

One side of a coin usually has a "head" of someone. The other side is the tail.
Yes you can but you will need to modify the bolt holes in the intake manifold. The TBI intake 4 center bolts, 2 on each side will not line up with the heads. Must drill them out just a little.
