Normaly not just outerbands and tropical storms. If there is a big engough hurricane like a cat 5 it could still hit atlanta as a cat 2 to 3 which still packs winds of up to 120 mph the damage is not that bad because there is not Ocean near bye but it could make Houses loose a window or so The biggest thret for Atlatna is Tornadoes This south city Has a humid spring summer climate and that means STORMS

Oh, yes! Savannah, GA, does get its fair share of hurricanes. Savannah gets brushed or hit every 2 years, but between 1989-1996 they were storm free.

  • Every 8 years it becomes a direct hit location with average winds at 95mph.
  • Last confrontation was mild: June 2013, Tropical Storm Andrea with 45mph winds.
  • The last big one: 1959, Hurricane Gracie with 125mph winds.

No. Hurricanes can only form over warm ocean water and quickly lose hurricane status after hitting land. Chicago is much to far inland to get hurricanes.
