SW stands for Steel Workers -- it is a rating designation within the Navy Seabees. SCW stands for Seabee Combat Warfare -- it is a special qualification given to members of the Seabees upon completion of certain training and testing. SCWS stands for Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist -- is a military qualification badge or pin similar to air combat "wings" or submariner's "dolphin's." It is also referred to as the SCW pin.
The Marine Corps had six divisions and 5 air wings when it was at itslargest in WW-2 and all saw active combat.
Plenty of things changed about fighter planes between WW1 and WW2 : - metal became more and more used instead of wood and cloth for the fuselage and the wings - fighters got retractable landing gears under the wings - they got a closed canopy - machineguns now incorporated in the wings - basic aiming systems then after WW2 came the era of the fighter jet with V wings and a jet engine incorporated in the fuselage. IR and EM missiles have also revolutionized the air to air combat. Nowadays Fighter jets are multi-roles and can also handle ground attack duties.
could imply some relationship with aviation, Air Force chaplain, perhaps? has nothing to do with that. an ankh is a symbol for eternal life. The wings, depending on the wings, mean different things. I have the Egyptian wings with my ankh and they are the wings of horus. Ankh with wings in general means "Battered but still standing"

Correction on the "name tape"... It's above your ribbons 1/8in then 1/4in from the air assault wings..
So long as you have earned them, yes. The President's Hundred tab, Special Forces tab, Ranger tab, Combat Infantryman/Combat Medic/Combat Action badge, parachutist wings, Air Assault wings, scuba qualification badge, Pathfinder badge, etc. are individual awards which can be worn by a soldier who has earned them, regardless of if they change units or MOS.

I serve in an Army National Guard unit. There we have a prior service airman who wears his air force combat aircrew wings. He says it's authorized. Not sure his source. Myself, I am prior Marine Av Ord and I wear my aircrew wings sometimes. I am a former Marine with Combat Aircrew Wings now serving in the SC National Guard. I contacted HRC at Ft Knox and its simple. Have your unit S-1 update your MRB with your Marine info and as long as you have the orders it's authorized. If worn on the ACU's they must be blacked out per the 670-1. On the Servive and Dress uniforms they can be worn as is.
