Yes. The Jaws shark was supposed to be around 25 feet long, and Great White Sharks as long as 25 feet have been spotted. The average size of a great white shark is around 14 to 16 feet.

edit: The Jaws shark actually has very flawed proportions, with an excessively large head and mouth. Carcharodon carcharias (the great white shark) is far more torpedo-like and, like most sharks, the widest point is 1/3 of the way down the body (helps with being streamlined). Carcharodon megalodon is a prehistoric shark of truly epic proportions, although scientists are still determining if that species is closer related to Mako or Great White.
