If you search hard enough, yes, you can find some. Some people have been able to trace their family's heritage back at many hundred years without using Ancestry.com or any other genealogy site. Also, many people who have used Ancestry.com in the past have posted their findings and family trees on their own websites.
You might try using a search engine (like Google or Bing) to find information by entering a person's name in quotes (ex: "John Edward Doe"). You might also want to include a birthday or day of death (not in quotes) to improve your results. This method is not guaranteed to work because not every family has kept great family records, and even fewer have posted on private web sites, but if you cannot use real archives and will not pay for access to the pay sites, that is all you can do..
