Your best source for finding jobs without an agency or recruiter is to attend job fairs, where the personnel/hiring department will meet directly with you. Another source is the State Employment Department. The best source is the local newspaper. You will have to examine the ads closely to separate the fake ones from the actual companies.
I would also suggest you contact companies directly. Look in the phone book for companies that would be a good fit with your abilities, and call them directly.
