Pex fittings are used for making connections in PEX plumbing applications. Professiomnal plubmers used next type of PEX fittings: Crimp fittings, Clamp fittings, Push Up fittings, Sharkbite fittings and others.
Depending if you are talking about stainless steel or galvanised steel. Either way, you need to use copper compression fittings, otherwise known as conex fittings in some countries. Also, you need to be aware of galvanic corrosion if you are connecting copper pipes to galvanized steel pipes. The joint will rot away from the electrolytic action in a few years unless you use a dielectric union or other insulating separation.
The main difference between wrought and forged fittings is strength. Forged fittings are tougher than wrought fittings as they begin as a casting which is then forged which adds to its durability.
Yes and no. The globe, if it will fit the socket, will light, but it will be a dull red and useless. Electrical fittings for 240 volts usually wont allow this as they are different fittings. The later types called EF lights will probably not work.

Popular products include electrical conduits and fittings, boxes for outlets, switches, and fuses, and pole and transmission line devices
An electrical conduit is a tube used to protect and route electrical wiring in a building or nonbuilding structure. Electrical conduit may be made of metal, plastic, fiber, or fired clay. Most conduit is rigid, but flexible conduit is used for some purposes.
One can purchase electrical fittings at a number of online and retail locations including Home Depot, Grainger, Lowes, Canadian Tire and Home Hardware.
yes. Copper to Galvanized must have a dielectric fitting to avoid a galvanic reaction causing corrosion and eventual leaks.
Taape or joint compound on the threads the same as any other pipe fitting, but not on the threads where the two halves connect.
got to make sure its turned off

We could get electric shock, something could go wrong and someone could get hurt.
Both # 1 and # 2 phillips screws are very common in electrical fittings.

If you do connect copper pipe to galvanized pipe, you will need a dielectric coupling or else the galvanized pipe will corrode. Same with connecting galvanized pipe to brass fittings. Brass is an alloy that contains copper and therefore the same electrolytic properties will exist unless a dielectric coupling is used. Hope that helps you out.
