If in the Western Pacific, you mean Japan/far east, then yes. However, those are called typhoons. It is not a fact that every year the Pacific Ocean will yield more storms, but it is likely. Look at the facts. The Pacific is the largest ocean on earth, and during storm season, it is in the best spot cosmically to receive the lions share of the suns energy. There are cycles in the typhoon-hurricane seasons. Approximately every 30-60 years the frequency and severity of the storms will fluctuate from many strong storms to very few weak ones. It is all a balancing act with the Earth keeping temperatures in check all over the world.
