We do not know. It could just be our universe or it could be groups of universes called multiverses and groups of multi verses and groups of those. We have no way of knowing but it is probable that there is extra terrestrial life who know the answer.
That is unknown.....however it is considered to be a possibility by many theoretical physicists. There are many theories on the universe yet none that can be proven beyond doubt. We have concluded that there is one universe (uni meaning one) containing everything in existence. There may be a parallel universe. Or several, or even more. There are a few theories. And there are so many more questions and things we don't know.
If the big bang hypothesis is valid the visible edge of our Universe is at least 25 billion light years away (the 12 or so billion years it took for the light to arrive here plus the outward travel that has taken place in the meantime, at least). So if there is another Universe and it has arrived at our outer visible edge right now, it will be that long for us to see it. If we do see it, it will be extremely difficult to tell what is going on because if that Universe is also a big bang the galaxies will be traveling in the opposite direction, thus reversing the supposed Doppler shift and thus making them seeming to be imploding.
However, the question is useless to you since you will not be alive unless all this happened 12 or 13 billion years ago. But it is an especially irrelevant question if the cosmological red shift is caused by one of the several "tired light" hypotheses and therefore wrecking the big bang hypothesis. So don't be unduly disappointed that you will not live to see this in any case and go back to enjoying earthly pleasures.
a black hole is a entrance to another Universe and it is dangerous because you might run out of air supply. you could get ripped up but you'll need to go faster than light or you'll die and never return.
and well, nothing is faster than light
As strange as this sounds, there are some theories of the universe that don't seem to make sense if there's only one; there ought to be twelve.
However, it does not seem possible to communicate with those other universes.
As far as we know now, the universe we live in is the only one that exists. Our universe contains an unaccountable amount of galaxies, stars, planets, and asteroids, but for now, we believe the Big Bang only created ONE universe, ours.
We cannot be certain either way. Some variations on quantum mechanics seem to have the math come out much cleaner if there are 12 separate dimensions, which would seem to imply multiple universes.
How many? In physics and astronomy, there are only two numbers that make any sense. The number "one", if something is entirely unique, and "infinity" if there are more than one. The universe that we KNOW about is so vast that either we're a unique and singular event in all time, or there are some unknowably large number of other examples like ours.
So there are not two universes, or twenty, or a million; it's either "ONE!" or "MANY!". In either case, we have no actual evidence.
So far, no experiment has been designed that could answer that question,
or even produce the slightest shred of evidence either way. So the answer
is: We don't know.
The possibility is seriously being considered, but with our current knowledge, this can't be confirmed, nor disproved.
Parallel Universes are a theory.
The idea of multiple universes is, like many other things, a theory. It could be true, it could not.
Theoretically, there are infinite parallel universes in the multiverse, however it is not necessarily widely accepted that the multiverse exists.
Yes, there are 100 cenquinsexagintillion or more universes (with 100 billion+ galaxies in each one) in the multiverse.
Multiverse ;)
Possibly in one of a countless number of alternate universes. Check with a theoretical physicist.
Parallel Universes are a theory.
I believe that that is true even though we can not travel there.
I can garantee they do excist, there are millions of planets in a galaxy! There are quadrillions of galaxy's in a universe, there are an infinate amount of universes in a multiverse! In all of that there are definitely aliens
To the best of our knowledge, there is only ONE Universe. There have been hypotheses about multiple universes, but this is not something that has been confirmed. If there are multiple universes, the concept of "distance" between universes may not apply. To the best of our knowledge, there is only ONE Universe. The Maker of Universes was created in 1965.
There is no recorded name for the line between universes.
Parallel Universes - film - was created in 2001.
Fairy magic has nothing to do with "universes"
