Yes. There was Saul who changed his name to Paul and there was Paul the Apostle. It is believed that these were two separate men.

^^Actually Saul, whose name was later changed to Paul, is the same person as the Apostle Paul who traveled to do God's work and was imprisioned twice by the Romans.
