polytheists
Ancient Israel was a theocratic kingdom and so the predominant religion and the religion of the state was the religion of the Israelites. It is often considered to be Judaism although modern Orthodox Judaism is different from this religion because the debates and discussions of the Talmud and subsequent works had not yet been written. There were probably minorities of Canaanite Polytheists, Egyptian Polytheists, and Hellenic Polytheists in and around the Ancient Kingdoms of Israel.
It was by command of Allah (or God and same God worshiped in Christianity and Judaism) when the polytheists of Quraish plotted to assassinate the prophet.
The majority of Romanians are Christian orthodox.

Polytheists were people who believed in and worshipped multiple gods and goddesses. This belief system was common in ancient civilizations such as the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, and the Norse.

However, there are numerous religions from Southwest Asia such as Zoroastrianism and Mandaeism whose adherents are henotheists or polytheists.
