Linus Torvalds wanted a Unix operating system for his new 80386 PC. Almost all versions of Unix cost several thousand dollars, and only a couple could really use the features of the 80386 processor. So he decided to write his own.
no
Programming is not better than networking as both are fields of equal importance in the computing world. Current trends however indicate that there are currently more programmers than network specialists in I. T.
Yes. Because it's open-source and thousands of programmers all over the world can solve bugs faster than an entire team within a company.
To an extent, yes - and in the future, computer programs might get better at this. An interesting case is the program that beat the Go world champion (Go is a well-known Japanese board game); the program was designed to learn game strategy by playing, and seeing what works and what doesn't; and now, the original programmers have no idea HOW the program determines the best moves!

This is not really a good comparison. It's like asking if a telephone is better than a TV. OK, well Android is an operating system, based on Linux (similar to Unix). Java is a programming language - a set of rules that programmers use to create the programs (apps). The operating system controls the basic functions and how the phone (or tablet) interacts with files and the user.

A: All we know, or believe we know, about Pope Saint Linus comes from the Liber Pontificalis, which is a work of almost pure fiction. Even the Catholic Church acknowledges that the statement contained therein, that Linus suffered martyrdom, cannot be proven and is improbable. We are left with no reliable information about Linus and can not even be sure that he really lived.Francis A. Sullivan SJ, author of From Apostles to Bishops, says that most scholars are of the opinion that, in spite of Church tradition, the early church of Rome was led by a group of presbyters, and that bishops were not appointed to the church in Rome until later in the second century. In other words, there can have been no Pope Linus, although it is conceivable there was a presbyter of than name. Beyond this, we can say nothing reliable about Linus.
Professional programmers would never write code from scratch if they could avoid it, but there may be legal reasons why an existing program cannot be modified. Amateur programmers and hobbyists. however, will often write programs from scratch purely to exercise their problem-solving abilities.
A team of programmers working for Microsoft. Technically the term would be "developed" rather than "invented," but that is merely semantics.
A:The Catholic Church teaches that St. Linus was the second bishop of Rome and was appointed by Peter himself. In practice, we know nothing certain about Pope Linus and can not even be sure whether a person of that name ever lived.Francis A.
