Are there websites or books available specifically for adult males who are struggling to deal with abusive parents instead of just information for women trying to deal with abusive men?

I really admire you coming on here and admitting abuse. There are over 850,000 cases of male abuse in the United States (by women!) It's time for men to come forward and not be embarrassed. Society has a belief it's just women that are abused, but, men are as well. Good men were brought up not to hit women or abuse them, so, when a woman becomes abusive to men what is he to do! I have found some good websites for you to go to. I would also like to let you know there are good programs out there for men who are abused and all you have to do is call your local "Mental Health" and they will tell you where these programs are. It's good to go to these group sessions so you, or any other man can see that there are other men out there that are abused. The bottom line is, man, woman, child, the elderly or even pets should NEVER be abused. No human or animal should ever have to take one second of abuse. When we talk about abuse it's often regarding man/woman, and not about someone abusing an elderly parent, or a parent(s) abusing children. We don't even get to the point of pets being kicked or thrown across a room because a man/woman/child is having a hissy fit due to abusive issues. Why did I mention animals? It's a simple fact that a person is cruel to any animal (whether they like cats or dogs or not) that is sign there is really something wrong emotionally with that person.) Be it someone from any walk of life (male/female, child, elderly) we should band together to grow stronger on the issues of abuse. If the posts are erratic and nonsense, move on until you find a board such as the one we are on ... well controlled, no abusive behavior or someone poking fun out of a person's situation. By joining a board you can talk to other men in your situation and it can help a great deal. I suggest also, that you get some psychological counseling (not that anything is wrong with you) but it will give you good tips on how to handle the situation.
