You are only increasing the tread width on your vehicle about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch. the same goes for the height. The P235 is the metric width of your tire, and the 60 is the percentage of height to width of the tire. R means Radial and 16 means you have 16' rims or wheels. If the price is right, you will not notice any difference in the driving or handling of the vehicle.
