I have installed a 700r4 in place of a 350 in my 1959 chev and used the same flex plate with no problem.

Yes, the Turbo 400 will bolt up to the 305. Use the original Turbo 400 torque converter and flex plate unless the 305 flex plate has dual bolt pattern to except the 400 converter.

There are 2 different services on your model vehicle a "Flex a" service and a "flex b" service. they are done in rotating 10k miles intervals eg: 10,000 miles flex a 20,000 miles flex b 30,000 flex a 40,000 flex b and so on... The Flex b is the Oil change, tire rotation, belts, brakes, fluid and hoses check and every 2 years you should be doing a brake and coolant fluid flush. Dealership prices vary, but the flex a usually runs about $275.00 the Flex B ususally runs about $475.00
