Not necessarily. The quantity of alcohol one consumes regularly or otherwise is not alone a basis upon which a diagnosis of alcoholism may be made.
Alcoholism specifically involves the sufferer physically and mentally and arguably spiritually. The key diagnostic elements proffered by the book entitled Alcoholics Anonymous (44:1) are:
"If when you honestly want to you find you cannot quit entirely or, if, when drinking you can not control the amount you take, then you are probably alcoholic."
The quantity consumed does not define alcoholism.
The amount you drink doesn't directly determine if you are an alcoholic. If it's 1.75 OUNCES a week, it is unlikely you are physically addicted to alcohol. If you aren't physically addicted, you aren't an alcoholic. If you meant 1.75 liters, that is a very different story. Not being addicted doesn't mean you aren't an alcohol abuser. Do you have recurring negative aspects in your life because you drink, yet you continue to drink? Don't count the anger or condemnation of teetotaling friends of family members. If yes, and you continue to drink, you are an alcohol abuser and need to consider whether what you are doing is worth the problems caused.
Everclear is 150 calories per ounce which makes it lowest in calories compared to alcohol by volume.
well, first off IT CAN KILL YOU !!!!!!!
Pace consumption to one drink per hour, drink on a full stomach, alternate alcoholic with non-alcoholic drinks, and realize that the alcohol content of standard drinks of beer, wine and liquor are the same.
for a man it's 21unit a week and for a woman it's 14unit
In America students spend 5.5 billion dollars (and climbing). A high percentage are College Students.
first find out the number of drug users to figure out the % of drunks. then take 15% of off that to figure out who don't use either at all . after you figure out all this you are left with a number which can be turned into a fraction and that's how many drunks are in your school 1 1/12 ~jmata
i belive the recomended amount is between 2-4 pints a week :)
I don't know what a "standard alcoholic drink" is, but there are about 240 Calories per jigger of pure ethanol. Vodka is, essentially, ethanol and water, so it has 1.2 x (proof value) Calories per jigger (so 80 proof vodka is 96 calories per jigger). Sweet liqueurs will have a higher caloric value per volume than vodka does, and as far as mixers go, you're on your own.
Some average smokers in the UK smoke 20 cigarettes per day x7 packs per week @ £6.00 per pack= £42.00 per week = £168.00 GBP per month. Then a heavy smoker will smoke at least 40 per day = 2x 20 Packs x 7 days per week @ £6.00 per pack= £12.00 per day or £84.00 per week = x4 = £336.00 GBP per Month. Very expensive in the UK for a smoker! And according to my teacher a smoker is called an arseholewanker
28/7 = 4 glasses per day
