YES, AS THIS WILL BE YOUR FIST PORT OF ENTRY
Yes you can
If there is not a Canadian Office here in Nashville, you can contact them by phone through the internet, and they will explain if and how can you send your old passport to them.

No. You will have to report to Canadian customs with a passport to enter Windsor, ON. You will also have to pay $3.75 USD to go to Canada.
Check on the Canadian government website for more information or phone them (the number is on the website) www.canada.gc.ca I found out the hard way that CVS & Walgreen's couldn't just do the Canadian passport photos as they claim. After running around to meet my deadline for renewal I got my photos rejected. BIG disappointment!! Also a waste of time, but I found Gary Sweetman Photography in Bradenton FL. They did a wonderful job meeting all the compliances & they used Biometric software to ensure everything was correct. I highly recommend them. Give them a call 941-748-4004.
customs, passport control and quarantine
Maybe. Canadian authorities will allow you back into the country, but the more serious questions is: Will the authorities where you now are allow you to LEAVE with an expired passport? Best you check with the Canadian Consulate where you are located and try and obtain a new passport. Then I could only guess at the hoops you'll need to jump through to establish legality in the country where you are now located.
This depends on wether or not you pass through immigration control. If you stay in a transit lounge in the airport then no, your passport will not be stamped
Can i ask... you How long it took you to get that passport.. and.. the process time? fees etc? It might be my only.. hope to Travel.. other then waiting 15 months for Canadian Citizenship..
www.ppt.gc.ca is the site to go through
Yes, you will still need to pass through border control when you disembark the ferry
Being a former travel assistant, my understanding is as long as you are not stepping foot or DOCKING on a foreign land, the answer would be NO. I am presuming that you are sailing from America, up through the Alaskan Inside Passage, and are concerned about needing a passport for Canada. Once again, my understanding is as long as you do NOT dock or step foot on Canadian ground, you will NOT need a passport. Happy sailing!
