I'm assuming you're asking for the connection. (If I assumed wrong, say so and I'll edit the answer accordingly)
The Gallipoli Campaign in World War I that the Allies began to capture the Dardanelles Straits was mainly manned by ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) soldiers. Basically, the Gallipoli battles were fought by Australians alongside New Zealanders.
Gallipoli was a battle in WW1 that was taken part in by Australia...
it hurt them
the point of what happened in gallipoli was for Australia and New Zealand to conquour part of Gallipoli and taking out the guns based on the river.
The reason Australia was involved in the Gallipoli campaign was because as a member of the british empire it was Australia's duty to help out in this time of need.
The Turkish army
Although popular belief is that Gallipoli is better than Kokoda, many like me and lachy and Amelia disagree. Gallipoli was half way across the globe and kokoda was much closer to home and Australia and an imminent invasion threat. Gallipoli was also a stupid failure while kokoda was a legend. As i like to say Gallipoli made Australia, Kokoda saved Australia. Cam xoxo Gossip girl <3
