The ANZACS went to Cairo on December 4th, 1914 so they could train and prepare for what was ahead in Gallipoli.

25 April 1915 - world war Ithe Australian and New Zealand Army corps (the anzacs) trained together in Egypt and quickly gained a reputation as a wild and tough bunch of men__traits that did not endear them to their British commanding officers. Australians were not keen on military discipline.
The ANZAC troops did not train at Gallipoli. They trained in Egypt, usually for a period of three months.
Because that was the only place for them to train where they wouldn't get killed or injured.

Military training was needed for fighting in Gallipoli. The campaign was fought on land, by sea, and in the air. The result was a victory for Ottoman.
One can view train times schedules by either going to their nearest travel agent or going to their nearest train station. If going to a train station or travel agent, ask politely for a schedule of the train's arrivals and departures.
