ANZAC is the acronym formed from Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, the formation into which Australian and New Zealand soldiers were grouped in Egypt prior to the landing at Gallipoli in April 1915.

25 April 1915 - world war Ithe Australian and New Zealand Army corps (the anzacs) trained together in Egypt and quickly gained a reputation as a wild and tough bunch of men__traits that did not endear them to their British commanding officers. Australians were not keen on military discipline.

Australia declared war on Germany soon after England on 5th August , 1914. Australian defense forces fought in the Gallipoli campaign, Palestine and Egypt and on Western front they were deployed in France and Belgium.
they were sent to Egypt on august 1914. they trained for four and a half months near cairo before being shipped to the gallipoli peninsula.
