It is the same as that of any Buddhist lineage. That the Buddha became enlightened and he learned of why people suffer and how to end it. He then taught us what he had learned. Some of this is described in the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Noble Path. The Four Noble Truths are:
1) The world is full of suffering
2) There is a cause of this suffering
3) There is a state of mind that can be attained where suffering ends
4) There is a path that can be followed to reach that state of mind.
The Eightfold Noble Path is the path the Buddha laid out for us to become enlightened just like him
