from reading on this problem that others have had. i have heard you drill a hole behind where the licence plate goes and try to get it open that way. or go to dealer and get new key with proof of ownership.

The switch in the trunk that is on the locking mechanism itself needs adjusted or if you don't have time to mess with it really just disconnect the wire going to it the trunk light wont come on until you hook it back up though that little light on the dash will run your battery dead because its really telling you that the big one in the trunk is on too.
