First, make sure the battery is good. Check the water level, then check the voltage. Must have more than 12 volts on the meter. If not, charge and check again. This will ensure that the battery does hold a charge. If all is good, then, with the engine running, check the voltage at idle, should have around 13 + volts, and at 2000 rpm, should have around 14 volts. If not, 2 things, the voltage reg. or the stator will have to be replaced.

If it is the same as a V65 Sabre, with the dipstick. I just don't know what marks mean what level...
Look in front of the motor,under muffler pipes,there you will find the starter motor.Take two mounting screws out and remove wire.
If I'm not mistaken you cant.At one time, there was a supercharger available for the V65 Magna. The company is no longer in business, and there are no superchargers to be found. However, it is great to think that at one time, you could get one for $2000 and just bolt it on!

There is no gas gauge on the 1983 Honda v65 magna. However this bike will get around 165 miles on a full tank. The best way to know how much fuel you have is to reset the tripometer on the speedometer each time you fill up, and refill at around 160-165 miles.
