The Fourth Crusade
When the crusades ended it increased trade because the Christians started looting and stealing on their way to Jerusalem. Eventually they just started trade because they could buy it for much cheaper then they could from their hometown.
The Achaean Greeks mounted a looting expedition into Asia Minor, starting with the richest city-state Troy. When this failed, they spent nine years working over the rest of the cities and came back far a successful crack at Troy. So the story goes.
We have no precise dates - the legend puts it in the 12th Century BCE - a 10-year Greek looting expedition of the eastern Aegean Sea, starting with a failed attack on Troy, a sacking of the coastline and islands, and in the 10th year returning for another attempt on the richest prize Troy, which succeeded.
The usual answer is that the Roman Empire fell in 476 AD because of migrating Germanic tribes that took over. I think the answer is much more complicated that that. The Roman Empire did not fall in 476, the date usually given, and people of most of the empire were unaware of that year's being any different than any other. What happened in 476 was that Romulus Augustulus, the emperor of the West Roman Empire, was forced to abdicate by King Odoacer, when the King had demanded land in the heart of Italy. The emperor refused, so the King invaded and ended the Western Empire. In the mean time, the Empire in the East was renamed the Byzantine Empire and continued until 1453 AD.The West Roman Empire had been in a state of increasing anarchy for decades under the pressure of Germanic tribes who migrated into the area, settled, and set up their own kingdoms, nominally within the Roman Empire. The Kingdom of the Franks was recognized as a kingdom within the Empire in 376.My own feeling is that the West Roman Empire fell because of a combination of factors, among the most important of which is that the Roman soldiers were poorly paid in peacetime, and could only make a lot of money by looting areas taken from enemies. This caused the Roman Empire to expand greatly in the late republican days and the early periods of the empire (such as the reign of Trajan), but when the borders were established along the Rhine and Danube, and in the deserts of North Africa, there was not much left to conquer but Persia, which was logistically really difficult to take. Not long after this time, the Roman Empire underwent the so called Crisis of the Third Century, in which the armies of the empire turned on each other, established their own local emperors, and made their livings by looting internally. Once that mess was firmly cleaned up, it had become necessary to recruit German soldiers to man the army. Diocletian and Constantine stopped the internal conflicts, but the damage was done. Citizens did not want to be in the army any more, and the military, in the West, was completely Germanic. With the establishment of a weak emperor, the Germanic Generals who had risen from the ranks established puppets for themselves, and the Germanic tribes that wanted to come into the empire and settle were not effectively opposed.

Insurrectionists are looting the capital! Can't I get arrested for looting the store with you?
Looting refers to the act of stealing goods or property, typically during a time of chaos or disorder, such as during a riot or natural disaster. It involves unlawfully taking items from stores, homes, or other locations without permission.
There was a blackout in New York, so I went looting.
It was a looting expedition of the rich cities of Asia Minor. Who is now looting in the world by force - they do it by economic and financial looting - pick your target.
yes he has. One example would be "burning and looting" in this song he says .."this morning I woke up in a curfew, oh god I was a prisoner too, could not recognise the faces standing over me, they were all dressed in brutality,....." and then talks about burning and looting. But as he explains in one interview, he did not mean literally burning down the town, instead he was talking about burning certain things out of our minds so we, as humans, can live together in harmony. I am sure he has other figurative songs as well.
because the things were the property of the people
I am very sorry i don't know the answer for this question. I am trying to find out what larder looting is myself.
If you have the looting enchantment on a weapon in Minecraft, this means that every time you kill a mob, you'll receive more of its drop than you would if you killed the mob with a non-looting weapon. For example, say you typically received 2 leather from killing a cow. With looting, you might receive 4 leather. And I believe the higher number your looting enchantment is, the more drops you can get from a mob.
There was no known looting. The stewards were concerned for the well-being of the passengers, not their belongings.
