You would be happiest if you just kept with the 4.0 you have in it now. If the engine is tired, look into getting one of the 4.0 based stroker engines for big power gains. It would keep things simple and you wouldn't have any cooling, fuel, exhaust, wiring changes at all...

Yes. It will fit. You will need to do some conversion though. Go through a company like Novak Adaptors or Advanced Adaptors to get the engine side and transfer case sides of the adaptation taken care of. Then you will need a transmission controller.
