Since the market conditions change all the time, whatever is good today might not be good tomorrow. An item that rises in price now may go down tomorrow. From the RuneScape main page, go to Grand Exchange and look at the graphs of several items - and try to guess whether the price will go up or down.
It simply doesn't work that way, for several reasons! (1) The market situation, i.e. the prices, changes all the time. (2) Any item generally considered to be a "good merching item" will soon stop being it. The whole point is to merch something in which there isn't much competition. If lots of players try to "merch" a certain item, it will stop giving much profit. (3) It is really hard to foresee what items will go up or down in price.
You'll just have to experiment with different items, and check the price curves carefully. Also, watch out for announcements on the RuneScape page, since some of these may affect the future prices of products.
In my opinion it would be blue partyhats since there really cheap and alch at 0gp.
Alch at your own risk

partyhats are REALLY expensive so merch rune platebodies.
An item I, cook0fish, use to merch is the dragon plateskirt. It hasn't failed once yet. If you are a member i recommend you join my clan chat, cook0fish. Non-members should merch rune armour sets. I will soon have our offcial merching web-site up, Maybe towards the end of august. I will post it on here once i have succesfully created the site. Thanks for reading and we hope you join our clan chat! Good luck merching:) .
There really is no item. But if you watch the grand exchange you might find an item dropping and buy it for lowest. Then sell for minimum or highest.. When it starts to raise again
The least expensive item is a needle it cost 1 gp at the grand exchange.
Merchanting is a simple thing, you simply buy low and sell higher than you bought it for. All that matters is knowing what item buy buy and sell, and those merchanting clans do not help, use the Grand Exchange database on the Runescape Homepage for prices and pick one that best suits you. YEWS ARE A VERY GOOD WAY TO MERCH BUT THAT ISENT MERCHING THAT SKILL WORKING BUT IT WORKKS PEICE NOOBS
No, treasure trials have a 2 buy limit every four hours on the Grand Exchange. Flip items that have a higher buy limit on the Grand Exchange like runes, d'hide and items people will be in demand of. Guthix plateskirts won't sell as well as platelegs, platelegs generally sell higher and faster than skirts.

Item prices on the Grand Exchange vary from one day to another; to get the latest price, check the Grand Exchange on the Web page.
Items bought from the grand exchange will either be noted, or in a box will the full set of the armor you have bought if the item is noted this is simply solved by putting the item into your bank, and withdrawing it again. if the item is in a box, you must first talk to one of the grand exchange people and exchange your box with your items in for the actual items, you then will be able to equip any item.
The G.E (grand exchange) is just a big marketplace for buying and selling pretty much any item. Talk to the grand exchange tutor who is near the entrance if you want to know how to buy and sell things. You have to speak to the tutor before you access the Grand Exchange. Once you have, simply right click on one of the grand exchange clerks and click exchange. Then you can choose whether you want to buy or sell. To buy, simply click on the buy button, then type the item that you wish to buy. Then when the item has been searched for click on it and select how many you want. Then you can choose how much you want to spend. Medium price is the general market price, but if you wish to buy at a lower or even higher price you can change the settings on the item screen To sell, click on the sell button, then click on the item/s in your inventory that you want to sell. Then set the price you want to sell for (higher/lower). Some items won't sell straight away, equally some items won't buy immediately, so keep the offers in the grand exchange. The prices in the Grand Exchange fluctuate depending on how people are buying items and selling items (an item in high demand/ low supply will increase in price, something exploited by merch clans, and an item with high supply/no or low demand will decrease in price). The Grand Exchange updates its prices anywhere between 4-24 hours.
Why don't you try it out, instead of asking for every individual item? - You can buy just about anything on the Grand Exchange. However, there is currently no item called "wig". There was one in the past, but it was removed from the game.
For male character's, type in Grand Exchange: (lg) For female character's type in Grand Exchange: (sk) lg = legs sk = skirt
The Grand Exchange trades with two people: The buyer and seller. Someone must be selling in order for you to get the item, and vice-versa.
Sell a rare item on the Grand Exchange.
