You don't mention what sort of Birth Control.

If hormonal birth control you don't menstruate - the purpose of this method is to stop your menstrual cycles to stop ovulation, no ovulation means no menstruation. You should however still get a withdrawal bleed during your placebo pills, lack of withdrawal bleed isn't great health-wise.

Talk to your doctor about this, consider switching to another birth control option or brand.

I wouldn't. If it is expired it will not work correctly and could be very bad on your stomach.

Started taking birth control without your period starting is that bad?

Hi, Your question is: Started taking birth control without your period starting is that bad? No this isn't bad hun but your period will arrive on a different date and will continue to arrive on the same date every month providing you take your pills everyday and don't miss any pills. You must also know that birth control will not be effective at preventing pregnancy until you've been taking it for 4 weeks and had your first period on the pill. After this time you can have unprotected intercourse, but you will need to use a condom up until this time.

Is it bad to start a new cycle of birth control pills a week after your period ends?

You are supposed to start your pills the Sunday after ur period ends. But starting a week after ur period ends isn't bad either but ur period will be a little off track

Can you start your birth control before getting your period?

It is a very very bad idea to start birth control before you get your period (or even in your teens!). Your body is not fully developed hormonally until well after (about 7 years) you get your first period and introducing artificial hormones at that time can be detrimental to your future health (not to mention the side effects you will experience immediately). Hormonal birth control is very risky and has many side effects. If you are asking about a non-hormonal method of birth control, like condoms, it is a very good idea to use those if you are sexually active, even if you haven't started your period. You will ovulate before you get your period, and ovulation is the time at which your body releases an egg that can be fertilized by sperm.

How old do you have to be to start taking birth control my period is un-regular and I have cramps that leave me doubled-over in the floor I was told starting the pill could help regulate my period?

It's okay to start your birth control whenever you already have your period. It will get rid of your really bad cramps, acne, and regulate your period. You're pretty much a man. I <3 yankees.

Is skipping your period on the pill bad?

Skipping your period on the birth control pill, whether it happens with normal use or because you skipped the placebo week on purpose, isn't bad. It doesn't increase the risk of pregnancy, and causes no damage.

Can a chemist in Sydney prescribe you birth pills if you've bought some from them do they keep records of your prescription?

Birth control has many uses other than being a contraceptive. It can help control acne, cramps, and headaches due to your time of the month. If your cramps from your period are getting really bad or you have acne that comes only around the time you get your period, a doctor can prescribe birth control to help regulate those symptoms. Otherwise just go to Planned Parenthood and you can get birth control for free! Some birth control prescriptions are a lot of money but if you have insurance the generic birth control is not that much money.

Is it bad to have your period for 17 days?

It can be bad to have your period for a long time. I used to get my period for 8 days straight. But I visited a Gynecologist(person who specializes in the "under" area or the vagina) and she recommended me to take birth control pills. Some people misunderstand the whole birth control thing. They sometimes think that to take them you have to be sexually active, and that isn't true at all. I started on birth control pills when I was 14 years old and now I'm 16 years old and I'm not sexually active. Birth control pills also have side affects. You can get nausea or headaches from them. So it's good if you experiment with different types of pills. The point of taking them is to shorten your period. My period used to last up to 9 days. And now it's only 6 days :) Make sure to see a doctor if your periods get worse or if your getting blood clots(big chunks of blood).

Is having a period for 2 weeks bad while on the birth control inplantion?

Irregular bleeding or spotting is common on the contraceptive implant. It's not a sign of a problem, necessarily.

Can you have really bad cramps when pregnant and on your period at the same time. im on my period and im on birth control where you take a shot instead of the pill.i had sex can i be pregnant...?

Yes. No birth control is 100% effective. "The shot" (depo-provera) is widely known to have had several instances of conception during its use. You need to see a doctor, the sooner the better.
