Black powder is in which class of explosive attacks?

Black powder is classified as a low explosive. It has a relatively slow rate of reaction compared to high explosives, making it less powerful but still capable of causing significant damage. Black powder is primarily used in firearms and fireworks due to its propellant properties.

What are fireworks made from?

from explosive and flamable stuff such as black powder

What was the first bomb made of?

the explosive used was certainly black powder, casing materials are uncertain though.

How much gun powder can you have?

That will depend on the local laws, such as the fire codes, and the type of powder. Black powder is an explosive, and is typically more restricted than smokeless powder. Check with the Fire Marshall where you live.

Why is custard powder explosive?

Because it's a finely divided powder, and almost all finely divided powders are explosive.

How does black powder compare to smokeless powder in power?

Black powder and smokeless powder differ significantly in power. Smokeless powder is more powerful, providing higher velocities and energy compared to black powder. Smokeless powder's cleaner burn and increased efficiency make it the standard propellant for modern firearms, offering better performance and reduced fouling.

What is gun powder used for besides guns?

First we must understand that there are two distinct chemical types of "gunpowder". The first is commonly referred to as Black Powder and is considered an explosive, and the 2nd is most commonly referred to as Smokeless Powder and while similar in reaction to black powder is considered a propellant. Aside from it's use in firearms, black powder historically was used as an explosive in mining and construction. But in modern times its use in these industries has been supplanted by modern, more effective and more stable explosives such as dynamite, and ANFO, or ammonium nitrate fuel oil combinations. Black Powder is still used in some pyrotechnics and is commonly used in "blank' cartridge production for movies and in the entertainment industry. Smokeless powder has very few uses outside of propelling projectiles in firearms. It is engineered to have limited explosive properties and is very specifically tailored to use in firearms.

Is there such thing as a chemical or powder that is environment friendly yet explosive?

Flour is a powder. It is biodegradable and environmentally friendly. When mixed with the proper amount of air it is quite explosive.

Is black powder still flamable after 200 years?

It would be best not to make any assumptions either way. From a safety point of view, certainly you should assume that old black powder is still an explosive, and treat it accordingly. On the other hand, I wouldn't rely on very old black powder actually being useable as a propellant.
