Your brake booster is bad. Replace it. You should be able to get an upgraded (bigger) booster in any junk yard for under $60. Take my advice & join one of the Forums I mention below. You'd be surprised how many times this question has been asked. For the answer to this and hundreds of other Jeep related questions, you might want to join an online Forum like JeepsUnlimited Forums or JeepForum (Google it!). They have hugedata bases and hundreds of people there who drive the same vehicle, encountered the same issues and are qualified to help. Also, you can use their search feature for the answers to many questions without joining, but in order to ask a question you must be a member (join for Free!). Good Luck.
The brake light in the dash would be on because the emergency brake is on. If you mean the brake lights in the back, this would be because you are pressing the brake peddle or something is broken.
ABS (anti-blocking system) starts... to avoid locking brakes. It may also be a warped rotor and brake pads worn out, depending on what you mean by hard braking.
1998 Grand Cherokee has Disk/Pads... Shoes and they arent too hard it just takes awhile if you dont know what your doing and remember how you took them apart.
buy a wah pedal and figure it out. shouldn't be too hard.
The best pedal to go along with the Boss Blues driver is Les Paul. It produces a wide range of OD effects from extremely subtle to quite hard.
No, He actually does not like double pedals. He uses a DW 9000 single pedal.
Check the belt tension. it is too hard on the bearing or it's running dry.
Hardness in the brake pedal can because by low brake fluid. Air in the brake lines can also cause the pedal to push hard.
The power brake booster is probably at fault.
The brake pedal vibrates.
Probably the brake booster going bad.
A hard brake pedal can be caused by several different factors. It can be as simple as the brake pedal getting caught on something to the power brake booster being bad. You could also have a brake pad or shoe that is sticking, causing the brake fluid to boil. When brake fluid boils, it expands and can cause the hard brake pedal that you feel. A brake pedal that is hard to press can also be caused by a build-up of water in the brake line. The water in the brake line lowers the boiling point of the brake fluid. A hard brake pedal can also be the result of a restriction in the brake line, such as a bent brake line or foreign material in the brake fluid. The most common cause of a hard brake pedal is the sticking brake pad or shoe, causing the brake fluid to boil. Tracking down what is causing the hard brake pedal can be frustrating, to say the least. Take the vehicle for a drive and when you come back, feel your brake lines near the wheels. Caution: The line may be very hot! If one is extremely hot, you may have just found the culprit causing the hard brake pedal.
if the brake pedal is hard you might first want to check if the mineral oil is full, get the castrol mineral oil for jaguars with the attached pump. Make sure the oil level is green with a black dot, if is clear with a black dot then the container is empty and it needs oil.,, Good luck bud..!!
Any time the brake pedal is hard to press then you need to check and see if the brake booster is functioning properly.
brake switch located on the top of the brake pedal
you will have a hard brake pedal
hard brake pedal is the most obvious sign only way i know to test a booster, is to turn engine off. use brakes several times till pedal is hard. then with brake applied, start engine. the brake pedal should then soften.if the pedal stays hard the booster is bad
if you look under the dash at your brake pedal if automatic trans, and if its standard look at the clutch pedal and look for the switch, this is not a hard job to do but it will take patience.
The power brake booster is failing.
