Both driver and passanger windows on 97 Chevy Venture go up sideways and crooked.?

I just had a chanel clip break on my 97. The old windows used to have a full chanel that the window sat in. The new ones like my 97 venture just have 2 plastic clips about 2 inches long. I had one that was broke and the window went up and jammed all the time. The second one broke today. Have to replace clips on rail

Since both windows on the front of the caravan do not work it is a common power issue. Check the window fuse and relays first, to see where the power loss is.

You first need to make sure you do not have the window lock activated. It may also be that a fuse has gone out.

Judging by many of the early building practices of the area, my guess is that the windows were installed that way to help reduce accummulation of ice and snow. The diamond shape mimics the a-frame roofs which are intended to shed snow.

The contacts are likely dirty or corroded preventing contact at will. You can clean by disconnecting and swishing around in an electronics parts cleaner or something similar that is not water based. You will appreciate it as you see all of the dust and debris contaminate the solution. This has worked for me on Venture and other cars.

It is very possible that it isjust a fuse. hope it does it for ya! Could be than not of the other power windows switches work either. If this is the case and only the drivers switch can operate the other windows then the most likely casue is the lock out swicth on the drivers side is gone.
