That usually means that the pad is worn down and you're getting metal against metal (bad). You should replace your pads before you have to replace both pads and rotors.
I think it is because when you brake and turn at the same time it makes friction and that's what makes the tires squeak.
The brake pads have a small metal piece which makes he brake squeak. This means it's time to change your brakes. The longer you let it squeak, the more damage it does to you rotor. Still the rotor can be resurfaced or if needed replaced.
the caliper
The friction between 2 objects makes them squeak
It only requires taking out the bolts that hold the caliper on.I push the caliper bach with a screwdriver first while its on the car. This makes it easier to put the caliper back on.
Brake Caliper is sticking........Replace!!
possibly a power steering belt or worn brake rotor pad . i suggest buying a ford.
