bleed brakes
Impossible to answer from such a short description, but probably you need to tighten the cables one way or another. Try the related links.
A lunch is a break...
need more detail to answer that. Try www.bicycletutor.com or www.parktool.com for repair instructions.
This is too dangerous for you to tackle on your own. Take it to a garage you trust and they will diagnose the problem. Then you coulld have them do the work or you could take it home and do it yourself.
I had this same problem with a 91, on mine it was the caliper slides, which allow the brakes to self-adjust.I was able free them up with penatrating oil and then work them back and forth until they worked on their own.The slides are where the mounting bolts go through the calipers. Hope this helps Good Luck.
they dont need that good of brakes to stop
SAME WAY YOU NORMALLY WOULD. IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW ,THEN LAST THING ON YOU NEED TO WORK ON IS THE BRAKES, BRAKES ARE PRETTY IMPORTANT. STICK TO THE STUFF LIKE CIG LIGHTER, RADIO, WINDOW CONTROLS, STUFF THAT DOESNT MAKE THE CAR STOP. SAME WAY YOU NORMALLY WOULD. u dont
It's hard to diagnose without hearing the noise, but if you're sure that it is not the brakes, it could be dirt/sand/rock in the brakes. If you're hearing the sound all the time (even when not applying the brakes), it could be wheel bearings.
remove them greese them up if that dont work replace seals or buy new ones
slowly push it along then pull the brakes, if it stops, THE BRAKES WORK!!! if it keeps going, THE BRAKES DON'T WORK!!! IT'S ROCKET SCIENCE!!!
