No. During manufacture the car is assembled using parts that come from all over the world. These parts have labels on them, paint, numbers written on them, and various oily coatings to protect them. All this stuff has to be burned off. Also there is a break in period for the catalytic converters that can take 3 or 4 thousand miles, and will cause the exaust to have a unique smell. Also, have you considered that this car's exaust may just have a smell you are not used to, just because the combustion system of the car is different than other cars you have had before? This car hasen't even broken in yet, give it a little more time before you press the panic button. Also, please don't idle a car in an enclosed garage. People die that way. Carbon monoxide can hit you and anyone else in the house instantaniously before you can even open a door to get fresh air. I have seen it happen before. http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?UseCase=S001&UserAction=viewSimpleDiagInfo&Parameters=info
