Airation in engine oil is perfectly normal, especially if you checked the oil when hot, just after a drive or with the engine running.

If you check the oil and its over the full mark and you see bubbles, thats another story, in that case the crankshaft starts to make contact with the oil level and is mixing and airating the oil, turning it to a foam which is not good. In that case you should drain it to optimum level.

Good Luck

Why Bubbles in oil on dipstick?

Bubbles on the dipstick after checking your oil level often times indicate a coolant leak. You can check by leaving the engine cool down for a couple of hours and drain a small amount of oil from the drain bolt on the bottom of the engine. If you notice a substance that is not oil (often times mayonnaise-like consistency), it's water and ethylene glycol. This is a bad sign for the engine and should be taken to a mechanic as soon as possible. Another cause could be incompatible oil types. Oil is rated (i.e., SF or SJ) and mixing incompatible oil types could cause oil to foam. An oil change and putting in the engine manufacturer's recommended oil type will fix this problem.
