Well an American Bison weighs 2200 on average so it would be very difficult for an alligator to take one. If its the smaller European Bison than the Alligator could take it in the water. How ever on land any Bison would win against an Alligator.

Which animal is the most harmful animal the one could be attacked by an alligator or a shark.?

Well, it depends on a lot of things. The alligator is dangerous, because it tends to hold on and preform a death roll. A death roll is when the alligator has it's prey in it's mouth, and drags them into the water where it spins lengthwise numerous times. This usually ends in the victim drowning. However, the shark can be just as dangerous. Since sharks have numerous teeth and massive bite force, just one bite in the wrong area could be fatal. But sharks can also be 'curious' where the shark swims up and sort of bites once, then realizes it isn't food and swims away. Meanwhile, the alligator knows what it's biting is human, and pulls you into the water, refusing to let go. So, as I said before, it all depends.i would say the shark because it swims faster and longer distance so it would be harder to get away from and it can kill you in one bite, wile you can be attacked and bit by and alligator and still live.or are you asking of an other animal not an alligator or shark????

Does a alligator have any defenses against a shark?

To be honest, it would be a pretty even fight if you look at all the pro's and con's of both sides. The one thing that the shark would really have an advantage on is speed. Sharks are very fast and can attack in a matter of seconds. However, alligators have very strong jaws and can cause a lot of damage if locked onto it's prey. Considering that sharks live in salt water, and alligators live in freshwater, this scenario would never be possible. But if it were, there would be a few things that would end up making or breaking the fight. First, if the shark were to strike first, it would probably take the tail or one of it's legs off, which in turn would partially immobilize the alligator and make it easy prey. Then, the shark would most likely make a second pass, take a good bite to the abdomen, and dive the alligator until it drowns (yes, alligators CAN drown, sharks cannot) But, if the alligator were to get a good lock on the shark, it could do it's signature move and roll the shark to death, which will disorient it, and eventually kill it. So, as you can see, it really is a two way battle. But keep in mind that, again, it can never physically happen. hope that helps.
