How do you change over so you can plug a 120V RV plug into a 240V single-phase twist-lock receptacle?

Is the 220V plug 220V only or 110/220V? (The former will have 3 prongs and the former will have 4) If your case is the latter just use the ground, neutral, and one of the hots. This will give you 120V single phase. If the case is the former you can't get 110V off that plug.

What adapters do you need to plug your 240V Ac plug into a 110V AC supply?

There are no adptors to plug a 240v plug into a 120v receptacle. 240v requires two hot wores and a neutral and ground. 120v requires one hot wire, a neutral and a ground. If you have something that runs on 240/120 you need the cord and adaptor that came with the equipment as you willl need the wires to mate up accordingly.

120V gas Kenmore dryer and the hook up location has the big 240V female receptacle--what is easiest solution thanks?

The easiest solution is to leave the 220V original outlet alone and plug the 110V dryer into a close 110V outlet, most likely the one for the washer. There should be nearby 110V outlets so you don't have to muck with rewiring the 220V outlet. A short heavy-duty extension cord is an option. I would also recommend killing the power to the old dryer outlet if it is unused. It cannot hurt. If you cannot plug the dryer into a nearby 110V outlet you can derate the 220V outlet down to a dedicated 110V outlet. This is not a task to be taken lightly if you are not experienced. If you do take this course of action yourself, buy a book. Do it right or don't do it at all. Negligence could kill someone.

How do you know if 110v device can be used in 120v outlet?

110V and 120V are essentially the same thing--don't worry about that. 50 Hz vs. 60 Hz is more important, for some devices. North America is 60 Hz; much of the rest of the world is 50 Hz.

How do you hook up a 120V fan drawing 0.4 amps to a 110V circuit?

Try to be a little more specific and I'll try and help. Are you wanting to add a plug on it, or hard wire it. And what is the fans location or type of fan I guess.

Can you plug 110V appliance in a 100V outlet?

A previous member answered: "No. You will need a step up transformer to be able to use 110v appliances in 100v sockets." This is incorrect. In the US, the AC supplied to household outlets may be called 100, 110, 0r 120 Volts. These all refer to the U.S. nominal 110 Volt supply, which can range from as low as 95 volts and as high as 125 volts and most appliances labeled for 110 Volts may be used in the socket. Generally, if the plug fits, it's safe.
